Goodbye, Vitamin

★★★★☆  book

Goodbye, Vitamin

A woman returns home to tend her father’s slow disappearance into dementia, rendering it in brief diary fragments that discover unexpected comedy in the unbearable. She locates both absurdity and profound tenderness in the act of witnessing; the prose remains buoyant precisely where the weight is greatest.
