tv review

Michaela Coel’s debut, in which a devout London girl is desperate to surrender her virginity and to experience everything at once, preferably before supper. It is broad, gloriously ribald, and covertly tender on the subject of wanting a larger life than the one you were raised to accept.
To want more than the modest life you were allotted is not a sin. It is the first act of authorship over a life of your own.
this is one entry from a wandering list of films, books, shows and albums, kept by someone trying to live a slightly more deliberate life.
