film review

Monochrome animation follows a girl through the Iranian revolution, uproarious and devastating in a single breath, its shadows worked like chiaroscuro. Punk in Tehran, exile in Vienna, and the particular loneliness of coming from a place the news consents to show only when it is burning.
One may love a country and still refuse its cage; belonging is an arithmetic far more intricate than any flag pretends.
this is one entry from a wandering list of films, books, shows and albums, kept by someone trying to live a slightly more deliberate life.
