film review

Nina does not lose her mind. She executes, with terminal fidelity, precisely what everyone trained her to do: vanish entirely into ‘perfect.’ The true horror is not the corporeal unravelling; it is that the man who broke her exits the affair unblemished and profitable while she bleeds out in a tutu to a standing ovation.
Perfectionism is rarely native to you; somebody generally installed it, and the installer seldom lingers for the collapse. Interrogate whose standard you are dying, quite literally, to meet.
this is one entry from a wandering list of films, books, shows and albums, kept by someone trying to live a slightly more deliberate life.
