film review

Kelly Reichardt films three Montana women whose quotidian lives barely graze one another, and in which almost nothing happens, devastatingly. The Lily Gladstone rancher passage is one of the loneliest, most tender things ever committed to film.
Loneliness is not always operatic. Sometimes it is merely the long drive home after an evening with someone who will never love you back.
this is one entry from a wandering list of films, books, shows and albums, kept by someone trying to live a slightly more deliberate life.
